Our Riesling Gin was awarded a bronze medal at the Australian Gin Awards on Monday.
2021 Off-dry Riesling 92/100 – The Real Review “A perfumed nose of florals and tropical fruits like paw paw. The residual is quite high but it is balanced by a fine and driving line of acidity. This is pristine and judiciously balanced.”
2021 Riesling 95 points, The Real Review “The aroma is very reserved and shy, with a hint of greenness, a fresh-herb note, and a little smoky note, possibly due to a trace of reduction. The palate is lean, very lemony and bright in its acidity, leaving a tanginess on the aftertaste. Very intense apple and citrus flavours, the fruit-sweetness balancing and striking sparks off the cool-grown acidity. Time will only improve this wine—it’s already a great drink but it’s still a baby.”
2021 Riesling 94 Points, The Wine Front – “Pretty talc-like and blossom perfume with lemon/lime and crunch of Granny Smith apple. There’s maybe just a kiss of sweetness, but the energy, the focus, and juicy apple flavour is compelling. A fine chalky texture, and nervy tang on a long tight finish is the icing on the cake. Excellent.”
Sparkling Riesling 92/100 The Real Review – “Light, bright lemon colour with a mousse of bubbles. The nose is very fresh, youthful and flowery, like riesling; the palate is delicately-weighted but intense and bright, lively and energetic right through to the aftertaste. There’s a trace of sweetness but the acidity drives the finish long and satisfying. Classic floral and lemon-citrus riesling flavours.”
