Hard Graft Shiraz awarded trophy for best Canberra District Shiraz

We were so excited that our 2022 Hard Graft Shiraz was recognised at the Canberra & Region Wine Show with the 2023 Dr Edgar Riek OAM Trophy for Best Canberra District Shiraz. This wine has always been close to our heart as the name came from a grafted this block of grapes from Cabernet to the particular ‘best’ clone of Shiraz in 2007. The growing season got off to a cold start and the little grafts had a tough first season so we spent time re-grafting any misses in subsequent seasons – hence ‘hard-graft’. We hope you have a chance to try this wine – it is in the cellar door now. It also was awarded Gold medals at the 2023 NSW Small Winemaker’s Wine Show & by The Real Review.
